A popular actor in Tinsel Gbenro
Ajibade popularly known as Soji Bankole in Tinsel has been suspended
from the show. Insiders told THENET that Ajibade was suspended because he
failed to show up on set for a sequence of shoots which involved his character.
Apparently, Gbenro traveled to the US for the Africa Fashion Week New York where he
worked as a runway model. According to insiders, he was well aware of his
pending role at Tinsel but still decided to travel out of the country.
‘Gbenro Ajibade knew he had
roles to play but categorically told us he was still going to travel‘, a
source who works in production says. It is unclear when exactly his
suspension took effect.
Calls and E-mails put through to the actor were not replied. A director
on the series George Kura also did not respond to his phone calls.
