A Nigerian police officer named Aruna Ayodele on
Tuesday, in Ikorodu area of Lagos killed a student of the Federal University of
Technology, Akure (FUTA) for disobeying ban of Okada.
The 21 years old victim, Kunle, popularly called
Ifa, was hustling with the motorbike to
make some money while waiting for the Nigerian government and university
lectures to settle an ongoing strike and call students back to campus.
Nigerian university lecturers called for a
strike since July to force the Nigerian government to honour an agreement it
reached with the lecturers in 2009. The strike meant millions of Nigerian
university students were forced to return home.
