2face Idibia Baby Mama Sumbo Ajaba Set To Wed

One of 2face Idibia's baby mamas, Sunmbo Ajaba, is set to wed the senior pastor at Royal Christian Centre, David Adeoye on Saturday May 4th 2013.

Their court wedding will hold Thursday May 2nd at the Ikoyi registry. They already held their introduction ceremony.

David and Sunmbo have been friends for many years but their friendship changed after David lost his wife, Folake Adeoye in November 2011.

Sunmbo is an  active member of Royal Christian Centre and choir member who leads the praise and worship. Her event company handles most of the church events.

First Son Of Pastor Bimbo Odukoya Set To Wed

The first son of late pastor Bimbo Odukoya of Fountain of Life, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, is set to wed.

He will wed Sade Banjoko on Saturday March 9th 2013, at St. Mary's Church, Church Path, Saffron Walden in the UK. Reception will follow at the Quendon Hall, Quendon Park estate, Saffron Walden. Congrats to pastor J and Sade Banjoko.

One of Nigerian biggest comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth has just acquired a 2013 Opel Insignia car. He is the first person to get it in Africa.

 Bill Clinton, Goodluck Jonathan, Babatunde Fashola, Bola Tinubu and many others dignitaries graced the opening ceremony of the first phase of the Eko Atlantic City which held in Lagos yesterday.

Eko Atlantic City is a city constructed from Atlantic Ocean in Lagos. The new 5-million-square-metre city is under development and anticipating 400,000 residents and a daily flow of 250,000 commuters.

Autopsy Report reveals Nigerian Music Star Goldie died as a result of an “Intracerebral Hemorrhage” caused by “Hypertensive Heart Disease”

Late pop singer Susan Oluwabimpe ‘Goldie’ Harvey died from complications of hypertension, according to an official autopsy report.

The autopsy was conducted at the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, and released on February 19, 2013. It states that ‘the patient suffered from ‘Intracerebral hemorrhage’ which led to a ‘hypertensive heart disease’. This is according to Dr. O.O Oyewole.

Goldie died on the evening of Valentine’s Day, February 14, a few hours after she returned to Nigeria from Los Angeles after attending the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony.

According to Reddington Hospital, where she was taken after she collapsed, she was dead on arrival. Her body was later deposited at the  morgue.

Burial arrangements have not been announced yet.

Legendary actor Justus Esiri is dead.

These are tough times for the Nigerian Entertainment Industry; legendary actor Justus Esiri has died.
The Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), famous for his role as the Village Headmaster in popular 80's sitcom of the same name, passed on last night. There are no details yet on the cause of death.
Esiri who has featured in several Nollywood movies, hails from Delta State.

He is the father of Onoriode Esiri,  known commonly as, Dr SID, a Nigerian singer-songwriter.

Majid Micheal To Guest star on Tinsel

Ghanaian Actor, Majid Michel will be joining the Tinsel cast today,  Tuesday February 19, 2013.

He will be playing himself in the dramatic soapie, Tinsel that is broadcast from Monday to Friday at 7:30 PM on Africa Magic Entertainment.

 He was asked why he took on a Tinsel guest role, Majid’s answer is both emotional and practical.
“A long time ago, I realized that my acting is not only about myself, it’s an extension of many things that I hope for in our industry. So I made up my mind to extend myself to film projects that improve our movie making prospects within the continent. I believe that this can also inspire young actors coming behind me.  Tinsel is a typical reflection of that, after all, its’ one of the most successful soaps out of Nigeria.”
Majid has completed filming his scenes for the soap, so watch out from Tuesday February 19^th.

Popular  Nollywood Actress Nse Ikpe Etim  got Married on Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2013. Nollywood superstar Nse Ikpe-Etim married her first love, Clifford Sule.

 The couple completed the Civil Ceremony (Registry) wedding, therefore they are officially married. The next day, close friends including Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, DakoreAkande and others celebrated with the couple at the swanky Sky Lounge penthouse restaurant & bar at Eko Hotel in Lagos.

Her husband is a senior lecturer at a UK University.  Their traditional and white wedding will take place later on this year.

GOLDIE HARVEY IS DEAD

Goldie Harvey, one of Nigeria’s popular singers is dead. She reportedly passed on after she returned from a trip to the United States on Thursday night . A blogger who claimed she was called and informed of the incident by the singer’s best friend Denrele Edun had first broken the news. The blogger also wrote that Denrele told her that Godlie who flew in from the US on Thursday died in his arms at a hospital in Victoria Island. All efforts to reach Denrele Edun on his phone proved futile. He has not also responded to questions sent to him via his tweeter handle as of the time of filing this report.

Goldie’s Twitter handle and Facebook fan page however bear the confirmation that she has passed on as the message “It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Goldie passed this night shortly after arriving Lagos from LA.

Street Journal’s findings revealed that Goldie was brought into Reddington Hospital around 7.55 pm, dead.

May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Nollywood Actor, Bob Manuel Udokwu has been appointed to serve the Anambra State  Governor, " Peter Obi", as the Senior Special Adviser on Creative Media.

He received his letter of appointment on Friday and said the work scope was wide. He added that a meeting  with the Secretary to the State Government was scheduled for Monday where he will receive proper briefing.

2012 Big Brother Africa Star game evictee, Goldie and former Sound City VJ, Denrele Edun, are are debuting their own reality TV show this February called  - Goldie and Denrele: True Friendship.

The show, which is being produced by Tee Jay Star, is about two friends in the volatile Naija entertainment industry, and how they support each other, have misunderstandings, their quiet moments, and their day to day struggles. They already shot some episodes.

Mavin First lady, Tiwa savage is a year older today. She  was born in Lagos on the 5th of February 1980.

Tiwa Savage graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2007 and has since then been working with music producers in the industry.

She began her music in the UK touring as a background singer for artists such as Mary J. Blige, Sting, George Michael, Kelly Clarkson and Spice Girls. She participated in the X-Factor, reaching the top 24.

20 Years Old Nigerian Girl Attacked with Acid In London

A Nigerian girl, Naomi Oni was scarred for life when a mysterious figure wearing a Muslim niqab threw acid in her face as she walked home from work. She has no idea who did this to her and has spent the past month having skin grafts and almost went blind, although she has now recovered her vision in her left eye and has partial sight in her right.

    'I’d been working a late shift and was talking to my boyfriend about what we were going to do for New Year when I saw this Muslim woman wearing a niqab covering her face, I thought it was a bit strange at that time of night, but she didn’t say anything and I kept on walking.

    'Then I felt a splash on my face. It burned and I screamed out. I started running and screaming, holding my face, all the way home. I didn’t look back.

    'I got home and I was screaming and banging on the door. I was hysterical. Luckily my godmother, who is a pharmacist, was at home with my mum and she helped me and kept dipping my face in water and trying to calm me down until the police and ambulance got there.

    'I was in shock. Saying: "Who would do that? Who would do that?" How could anyone do this?'.
    She has released the shocking images of her disfigured face in an appeal for help to catch the attacker whose identity was concealed behind the Muslim women’s dress which completely covers the face apart from the eyes.
