Autopsy Report reveals Nigerian Music Star Goldie died as a result of an “Intracerebral Hemorrhage” caused by “Hypertensive Heart Disease”


Late pop singer Susan Oluwabimpe ‘Goldie’ Harvey died from complications of hypertension, according to an official autopsy report.
The autopsy was conducted at the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, and released on February 19, 2013. It states that ‘the patient suffered from ‘Intracerebral hemorrhage’ which led to a ‘hypertensive heart disease’. This is according to Dr. O.O Oyewole.

Goldie died on the evening of Valentine’s Day, February 14, a few hours after she returned to Nigeria from Los Angeles after attending the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony.
According to Reddington Hospital, where she was taken after she collapsed, she was dead on arrival. Her body was later deposited at the  morgue.
Burial arrangements have not been announced yet.
