Chief Justus Esiri To Be Buried On 12th Of April, 2013

The Family of Chief Justus Esiri said, he will be buried in his hometown of Abraka in Delta State on Friday, April 12, 2013.

Before the burial, there will be service of songs for the late Esiri on April 9, followed by a commendation mass at St. Jude Catholic Church, Mafoluku, Lagos, on April 10.

 His body will be flown to Warri in Delta State. According to Esiri, the body will then proceed to Abraka where there will be another commendation mass/lying-in-state at the Polo Turf in Abraka, Delta State on April 12. From there, his body will be conveyed to his residence in Abraka for interment and entertainment of guests.

The late Chief Justus Esiri  died on  Tuesday, February 19, 2013, of complications from diabetes. He is survived by wife, Omiete Esiri, daughters;Ophlia Edewor, Ejiro Efijemueh, Tobor Esiri, sons; Justus Esiri Jnr, Sidney Esiri (Dr Sid), Andrew Esiri, and grandchildren. May his gentle soul RIP.

These are tough times for the Nigerian Entertainment Industry; legendary actor Justus Esiri has died.
The Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), famous for his role as the Village Headmaster in popular 80's sitcom of the same name, passed on last night. There are no details yet on the cause of death.
Esiri who has featured in several Nollywood movies, hails from Delta State.

He is the father of Onoriode Esiri,  known commonly as, Dr SID, a Nigerian singer-songwriter.

From Music To Fashion - Don Jazzy To Set Up Mavin Clothing Line

Don Jazzy has announced he is setting up his Mavin clothing line very soon. The music producer and record label owner announced his new business venture through  micrco-blogging site Twitter on January 29, 2013.

He said that  the clothing line will be making its debut in the summer.‘#MavinClothing 60% loading… Summer 2013. Watch this space. I dey hail o. IDJA’, he tweeted. It is unclear whether the producer is working with a fashion designer in the background.

He is also looking for models who will show off his outfits on the runaway and is giving everyone an opportunity to fill in the spots by launching a Mavin Clothing Model Search.

Don Jazzy  is also a  philanthropist and an entrepreneur. He is the boss of Mavin Records which boasts of artistes like Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D'Prince and Tiwa Savage.
