Amarachi Uyanne, An 8-Year-Old Girl Wins Nigeria’s Got Talent!



Amarachi Uyanne is the winner of the first-ever Nigeria’s Got Talent. She is eight years old and the youngest contestant in the competition.

Amarachi, a dancer and singer from Benin City, Edo State, dusted off competition from nine other contestants and was crowned winner in front of a studio audience on Saturday, December 8, 2012.
 at Bamako Studios, Ikeja, Lagos.

After being screened from 10 to six, to four and then a final three, Amarachi was tonight announced winner by the show’s host Andre Blaze.
Judges Kate Henshaw, Dan Foster, Yibo Koko all seemed pleased with the result.

She said she want to study abroad with the money she won and also to help orphans and the needy. She believes that it was God that helped her all through theduration of the reality television show.  “I never thought that I will win. I thank God for helping through it all,” she explained.
